How Each Chapter Works
All 12 chapters follow the same three-part pattern.
1. See the method
Each chapter opens with a full-page worked example that solves one problem step by step, with a short explanation beside each step. Your child can study the example before starting and return to it whenever a step needs another look.
2. Practice the same skill
Several practice pages follow, focusing on the skill introduced in the example. Each page includes spaces for your child’s name, score, time, and date, making it easy to record each practice session and see progress over time.
3. Check the work
The answer key at the back is organized by page and problem number, so you or your child can check completed work quickly and identify which problems need another look.

What This Workbook Is – and Isn’t
Math Speed Drills Grade 5 provides focused computation practice for selected fifth-grade skills. Each practice page consists of calculation problems, so the workbook does not include word problems, geometry, or measurement. It is not a complete Grade 5 math curriculum.
The Time field lets your child record how long a page takes, but there are no time limits or target times. Use the clock if it helps your child track progress, or ignore it and focus on solving the problems accurately.
